Deez Buzz :: Mads K. Johansen a short bio

Monday, July 18th, 2011

Growing up in a small town close to nature in Denmark made him appreciate wood as a material at an early age. The forest became a playground where he created and carved all kinds of things out of wood.

One of his best birthday gifts was tools and timber which enabled him to redesign his playhouse. Mads has always had a desire to explore and create shapes out of wooden materials. Design-wise his passion lays in clean lines and expressions that enable focus on the details. Mads has a background as a cabinetmaker and he has also worked as a furniture salesman and a carpenter. Currently he graduated at Denmark’s Design school as a Master. During Mads`s studies he spent one year at The University of Art and Design in Helsinki. Previously he also worked and studied in Dallas, Munich and Oslo.
